Safety of LAX shuttles?
#11
[quote Drew][quote dk62]I'd feel better with a reputable car company than with the shuttle. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with GoSedan (usually use Carrey).
GoSedan is affiliated with PrimeTime Shuttle. I used PrimeTime last trip to LA, so they're the only company that I know. I'll look into Carrey as well. Thanks.
Make that Carey with one "r" - sorry. They are extremely clean and professional. And expensive, unfortunately (about $160 for trip to Burbank). I have never been too impressed with shuttle services, particularly if arriving late and just wanting to get to the hotel. Last time at LAX, it took them 45 minutes just to get off the airport.

I'm not trying to be rude. I just don't understand the question. Is your wife worried that the sedan is less safe than the van if it's hit from the side? Or that it's more likely to be carjacked on La Tijera Avenue? Or that the driver might stop somewhere on the Hollywood Freeway and demand more money than the prepaid fare?

All of these companies are regulated, reputable companies. For a long trip like LAX-Burbank, the van is not especially comfortable. That's why GoSedan exists.

Thanks all for the help. I think that I've convinced her that GoSedan will be fine.
