made caramel apple ice cream last night! Nutella L'Orange on the schedule for tonight!

1 large Granny Smith in a sweet cream base with a homemade caramel swirl.. YUMSSS!!!!

I made the base for the Nutella L'Orange last night. Custard base with zest of 2 oranges, juice from 1 orange, and 3/4 cup Nutella. I'll be processing that tonight and making the base for a new creation for tomorrow night. Stay tuned!

Out of curiosity, how large is each batch? And do you finish it before you make your next? Just asking ...

Each batch ranges from 1.5-2 quarts. I do NOT finish them all before moving on to the next.

I'm currently in the experimenting/sampling phase, and I plan on having a tasting party in the next month or so. I really would love to open my own ice cream stand/store in 2012, so I need to get my recipes in order!

BTW - my new chest freezer arrived on Sunday AM. So, as they say, IT'S ON LIKE DONKEY KONG!!!!
