Hey - that's what ya get with a CCC block by block copy over fw800

Read to Mac via mini fw800 port

Back out same port to 2nd drive in chain

Already fw800 divided by 2 + oveehead since read and write via block copy not simultaneous flow and over same fw800 port regardless too

So here is a hypothetical. WOuld it have been faster if I connected one drive to the FW800 port on the Mini and the other drive to the FW800 port on my Apple Display? That one is running through Thunderbolt right? Would that make a difference?

Possibly, as the data would be going over two separate buses.

Well I stopped it and did that first thing this AM. It did indeed make a LITTLE difference. At least based on my crude maths. Oh well, even a little faster is still faster.
