Love Al Jarreau. Jerry Hey arranged most of the tremendous horns in many classic Earth Wind & Fire songs. I'm sure you know the amazing opening of the song "In The Stone." Maurice White loved horns. And I know off the top of your head you can play the horns on "Boogie Wonderland." The opening was a punchline used by Rodney Dangerfield in "Caddyshack."

Earth, Wind & Fire was going to be my addition to the thread.
"Boogie Wonderland" became my new favorite song when it was released. I still love the hell out of it - out of all EW&F's catalog, actually. They were the shit.

Anyone here remember
Kenny Ball and His Jazzmen?
Before we married, my future wife and I decided on this as our song. That would have been about 50 years ago, it's my current ringtone and almost impossible to hear if the phone is more than two feet away - which allows me to avoid most calls and that suits me just fine..

That's hella dope. I've played it like 10 times now.

Wow! the Kenny Ball "Midnight in Moscow" link is being played on the same model of tape deck that I still have in my stereo room. What a blast from the past - in more ways than one. Thank you.

Glad you got to hear it. Jazz has so many forms it can be hard to draw folks in since they tend to classify and then listen to what they decide is their sort of "Jazz". So now we rope in the rest with
Dave Brubeck
