2009 iMac FU
#1
So I bought it from my friend for $150. I added RAM today (it came about 2 hours ago) and the iMac's performance seems really decent. I wish I had time to do more but I have to go out for a couple of jobs.

After pulling the one I have apart, I think Im just going to pull the optical drive and drop the SSD there. Maybe then I dont need fan software or fan cable?

That's a good value - used imacs are an absolute bargain these days.

No SSD unless I end up using it for something. Right now it's going to the Other Human.

Got Sierra installed this evening. The Other Human is playing with New Old iMac and seems to find it acceptable so far.

A SSD would make it FAR more acceptable. Just saying.

I have 2 MBPs and a Mac Pro tower just BEGGING for SSD upgrades. Nothing huge, just 250s or 500s.
