Romanian government opened the registration to anyone over 65. I found out last weekend, called them, they said "meh".
Old stubborn people. I yelled at them, they reluctantly went online, created an account an registered. Next day website crashed. I think they fixed it, but all spots are gone.
so their turn was today at 3 PM local time. They got a call at 10 AM, can you come sooner? sure when? how about now? OMW.
They place was 30 min away so around 11 AM they were there. They had the forms filled at home, but medical staff said nah, tell me and we type it in. So they took a few minutes to register, 2 min to get the shot, then 15 min under observation in a large room with plenty of space between patients. everyone (staff, patients) wore masks.
They asked about the second doze (they were automatically registered for Feb 15). The medical staff said they second dose is guaranteed once you get the first dose.
When they left they got a vaccination certificate, with various digital signatures so you can't modify it.
They said they were impressed at how well they were organized. In other places was chaos, for sure. But this center was top notch.
They did not open a vaccination center in their small town, which is why they had to travel ~25 miles to another town. That small town is well known for their good hospital.
