A question about hummus
#1
Is it OK to substitute smooth peanut butter for tahini? Or would I burn in hell for doing this?

You can make hummus any way you choose. I just had some delicious black bean hummus last night. I am pretty sure it was made with peanut butter, not tahini.

As long as you don't use the peanut butter that was rife with salmonella.

get the PB that will float the oil to the top and then scoop up some of that.

but, tahini will probably give it a more distinct flavor.
