[quote mattkime]>>That keyboard doesn't waste space since it slides out.

It wastes depth!

The iPhone HATES YOU!!!

It's thick
It's running the awful Flash UI
It has a "Full Touch," not multi-touch (i.e. gestures) based screen
It has a low resolution screen (440 x 240 vs. the iPhone's 480 x 320)
It doesn't do WiFi
It doesn't appear to support speakerphone usage

blah.

Ewww. If it is running Flash Lite, then forget everything positive I said about the thing.

... a QWERTY keyboard which give it an advantage over the iPhone.

That's only a positive if you *want* a QWERTY keyboard, and don't mind the negatives enumerated above.

There are lots of phones that will have *something* that people want that the iPhone lacks. That's the way of competition.

But none of them will have the iPhone's interface. *IF* they can equal or better that, then they'll get my attention. It's the interface that I want. I don't care if phones have a 7MP camera or a 104-key keyboard.

From what I could see at MWSF, the iPhone has a big, VERY beautiful screen- 160ppi. I don't know how many phones equal or better that, but I bet a three-fingered man can count them on one hand.

Touch screen, beautiful screen, Wi-Fi, BT. That's about all I want. No word on other mundane features like voice dialing, but I hope it has that.

Every time a phone with a touch screen comes out, somebody will try to compare it to an iPhone. Until a challenger can equal or better the interface/navigation, they're just also rans.
