Even if there is one holdout juror, it will make the news that there were an overwhelming majority of the jury who wanted to convict. The judge can sentence Trump to prison and stay the punishment dependent on some set of requirements. Not running for office would be a good one although unlikely. It would be hard to imagine a defendant with less remorse.

Leave it to Trump to make Nixon look like a selfless statesman.

As soon as he is found guilty, he is a convicted felon. The appeal is to overturn the verdict, but he is guilty until the appeals are done.

That 10 day lag until deliberations...are the jurors sequestered? They have to negotiate a week plus a holiday weekend avoiding all media as well as their loudmouthed brother-in-law at the family picnic? Yuck.

No way they'd send him to prison. Too rabble rousing.

Sure he's guilty but nothing is going to stick to that stick to that piece of shit, he's Teflon Don.

He needs to be locked up for some length of time.
In an I Love Me jacket, and gag-ordered ball gag. A guilty verdict just means an appeal There can't be an appeal without a guilty verdict. We've got to start somewhere. I think eventually we'll see him in an orange jumpsuit, in a prison. There may be house arrest along the way, but eventually there will be the comforting clank n clang of metal doors slamming shut. Of course, all that could be avoided if he just dropped dead. Maybe a clever, subtle plan to slip an extra slice of cheese into his McDonald's of choice could facilitate that.
