I've been introduced to Comcast -- it really is bad

They claim my Motorola Surfboard 6141 is not compatible anymore.

This says otherwise.

And you think Comcast wouldn't lie to you, just to get you off the phone?

We were lucky at the last place I lived, my landlord knew a couple of the service guys. They were actually helpful when they were off the clock, lol. Here, I just have internet, and a growing pile of tapes and dvds for when I feel like watching TV.

This is exactly why, as a TWC customer, I give thanks every day that the merger with Comcast failed to go through.

I wish I paid less, but it works fine for me 99% of the time.

Location matters a lot. We have excellent uptime here, but 6 miles up the road you're lucky to go a single day without a prolonged outage.

Me too. Then again, they are charging my mom for two months now for a second outlet fee, no matter that she only has one box. Only $3, but it needs to come off the bill or they'll get me calling in every day this week (no clients and only cleaning drudgery to do around the house) just to waste their time.

They charged me $39.99 for a technician fee on a new install that includes "free Installation" and then $9.95 shipping for a new cable box to the one that was defective

ScumCrap loves to five and ten their customers to death. I had to update it from nickle and dime.

"$54.99 for triple play with Blast" and not even an asterisk about charging you $10 per month for the modem that gives everybody free access to your bandwidth and $20 per month for their cordless phones.

Wait, $54.99 Triple Play is actually a pretty good price.

They told me that my old Motorola SB5100 waS OBSOLETE and that I should upgrade to a DOCIS 3.0 modem for better FASTER speed and better reliability and that I was slowing down the network????

I went to best buy and bought a 6141 for about $65 to avoid paying the $8 per month comcast rental fee.

I tried for 4 months to get that problematic modem to work - hard wired, with & without my time capsule, with & without my airport express, with & without my router - it work beautifully for a couple days and then connection issues - wouldn't work at all or I would get dial up speed or less

I EVEN PUT THEIR TEIR TWO TECH SUPPORT ON SPEED DIAL to avoid talking to the scripted idiots from India.

They think it is a wiring problem inside or near the house but my internet (and TV) worked 98% OF THE TIME WITH THE OLD MODEM???

One day - I finally decide to hook my old modem - works about 95% of the time but sometimes I need to restart my Airport express.

Comblast sux
