Predict Mac mini Core 2 Duo
#11
[quote JEBB]Maybe the mini isn't selling well and they have a large inventory to clear before changing over to the C2D.
Think it could be everyone's waiting for the new Core 2 Duo? Wink

On the "other board" under this title: Mac Mini--ideas about when next revision?

They are speculating end of March. I believe they were talking this March, but it wasn't clear. Smile

If they're thinking March 2008, they're seriously whacked.

[quote BigGuynRusty][quote Grateful11][quote Zoidberg]On the same token, though, this is supposed to be the bare-bones low-cost entry point. Older chip = lower cost.
On the same token, since it uses an older chip why don't they lower the price? I know these
older chips fall in price all the time. I think they should be selling the lower Mini for about
$400-450. Hard drive, optical drive and ram prices are also way down.
You're absolutely right, Apple should gives those damn things away!
So G11, you work for free?

If they're still selling at the price point they have, why lower the price? I agree with you in principal but it's still a business decision.

I say they're too frackin' high for what you get. They still don't even come loaded with 1G of RAM.
